There is a tool right on SparkPeople to help you calculate your Daily Calorie Differential, or "Calories In, Calories Out" (CICO). You will need to log your nutritional intake for the day in the Nutrition Tracker, as well as all exercise minutes in the Fitness Tracker. Then go to the drop down menu "My Trackers" and click on "Reports". Then on the page that follows, click on "Daily Calorie Differential". (Right hand column, second from the top)
If you are in the negative numbers, you are working toward losing weight- you have burned more calories than you are taking in. If you are in the positive numbers, you will most likely gain weight. If that's not your wish, consider taking in less calories, exercising a bit more, or a little of both.
If you find you are not doing as well as you like, CICO is a great way to take a look at what the bottom line is with your efforts!
